What is Molluscum Contagiosum?
Molluscum contagiosum is a skin infection caused by a pox virus. It shows up as small, firm, skin-coloured or pinkish-white bumps. Look closely and you'll see a tiny dimple in the middle of each one. If squeezed, a white cheesy material comes out (please don't squeeze them).
It's very common in children because they share toys, towels, swimming pools and close contact at school. Adults get it too, especially if immunity is low or through close skin contact.
