Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows outside it, on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, bowel or bladder. It causes painful periods, pelvic pain, heavy bleeding and sometimes difficulty conceiving. Homeopathic treatment works on the pain and the hormonal pattern behind it, alongside your gynaecologist's care. Book a consultation with Dr. Chhavi Bansal today.
What is Endometriosis?
In endometriosis, tissue that behaves like the womb lining grows in places it shouldn't, like the ovaries, the tubes, the lining of the pelvis, and sometimes the bowel or bladder. It responds to the monthly cycle just like the womb lining does. It thickens and bleeds. But that blood has nowhere to go.
That trapped blood causes inflammation, pain and, over time, scar tissue and adhesions. On the ovary it can form a cyst filled with old blood, called an endometrioma or chocolate cyst.
It affects roughly 1 in 10 women of reproductive age. And many of them are told for years that bad period pain is normal. It isn't. Pain that stops you from working or studying deserves a proper look.
Symptoms of Endometriosis
Symptoms vary a lot, and severity doesn't always match the amount of disease:
Causes of Endometriosis
The exact cause isn't known. These are the main theories and risk factors:
- Retrograde menstruation : some menstrual blood flows back through the tubes into the pelvis
- Oestrogen dominance : the condition depends on oestrogen and worsens with high levels
- Immune factors : the body fails to clear misplaced tissue
- Family history : women with a mother or sister with endometriosis have a higher risk
- Tissue change : some cells outside the womb may change into womb-like tissue
If Endometriosis is Left Untreated
- Difficulty conceiving
- Ovarian cysts filled with old blood (chocolate cysts)
- Adhesions that stick pelvic organs together
- Adenomyosis, where the tissue grows into the wall of the womb
- Chronic pelvic pain that affects work and relationships
How Homeopathy Treats Endometriosis
The usual options are painkillers, hormonal treatment that suppresses periods, and laparoscopic surgery to remove the tissue. These help, and in some cases surgery is clearly needed. But the pain often returns when hormones are stopped, and many women aren't comfortable with long-term hormonal suppression.
Homeopathy works differently. It works on the pain, the heavy bleeding and the hormonal pattern behind endometriosis, based on your overall constitution. It can be used on its own for milder cases or alongside your gynaecologist's treatment.
- Reduces period pain and pelvic pain
- Helps control heavy bleeding
- Supports hormonal balance without synthetic hormones
- Eases related symptoms like fatigue, bloating and mood changes
- Works alongside your gynaecologist's treatment
- No side effects
The treatment is completely personalised. Dr. Chhavi Bansal takes a detailed history of your cycle, pain pattern, reports, emotional health and lifestyle, and prescribes a remedy for you specifically.
Dr. Chhavi's Approach to Endometriosis
She'll review your ultrasound and reports, but she also asks about things reports don't show. How the pain behaves, what eases it, how your mood and energy change through the month.
Alongside the medicine, she guides you on diet, stress and daily habits that support hormonal balance and reduce inflammation.
One honest note. Large chocolate cysts, bowel or bladder involvement, or fertility plans often need a gynaecologist's input too. Dr. Chhavi will tell you clearly when that's the case.
